As part of the Physical Education program for grades 4-5, each Fall the district holds the Annual Gary Gaiser Cross Country Run.

In 1993, this run was named in memory of Gary Gaiser, a former Physical Education teacher for West Seneca Schools.  He taught Physical Education and coached various sports from 1973 until 1992.  Mr. Gaiser is also a member of the West Seneca Schools' Wall of Fame (view his plaque) for his outstanding achievement as a former student as well as educator and coach.

The Fall 2024 Gary Gaiser Run was held on Saturday, September 28, 2024.  Boys and Girls in grades 4 and 5 are eligible to compete.
